FYI, I don't know if it is still true, but some years back, the bereavement fares were barely worth it unless you need flexible dates upon your return. You can just about do better just getting something through priceline or kayak than try bereavement if you have fixed dates coming and going.
Yeah, it's not the fare so much (and I don't know that I ever really had those fares, d ont remember), it's the ability to say "flying out Wednesday. No wait, Tuesday. No, Wednesday but earlier in the day," which is not actually a big deal for bereavement, but can be huge with acute illness.
DAMN. We do totally have the same exact job.
(Except for that unnerving editing program you use.)
I've named it Loki, so I can screech, "Damn you, Loki!" when the malevolent thing thwarts me.
But amused my phone has SYTYCD in the dictionary and autocorrects to it!
We used to call the show by whatever my iphone corrected it to, last summer...but now I can't recall! Any my phone knows what it is now!
Ugh. I was going to watch at least a bit but Fox isn't hardly coming in here-- the audio keeps dropping out and it pixellates.
Awake is a red hot mess y'all. I can't recommend the season/series finale.
Here is an interview with the show creator.
SPOILERS for finale.

Oh, really, le n? I haven't watched the finale yet, but have up til that
Yeah? I'm still gonna watch, but I'll be braced for it.
After watching the penultimate ep, I feared it might be.
OMG has anyone posted this yet?

So. Awesome.
ION, spent all day at my folks, dealing with dopey post-operative dad. Mom was remarkable even-tempered today, except she had forgotten that she was in her own house. I don't know how full-time caregivers do it: my sister & I had to stop for drinks on the way home.
Going back in the morning, and then to work. Bah.
