The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

More New!Job likes carrots: my division has been given tomorrow off for a 4-day weekend, because of some successful builds and whatnot, the managers are throwing an ice cream social at 4pm today, AND the email specifically said there would be GF ice creams and toppings available. Whee!

New!Job has been pretty cool, so far. Chaotic, but cool. And very unlike That Other Software Co. I worked for, in terms of management and support.

No tours, but some co-workers do make a point of searching me out every day to see what I'm wearing. And my boss mock-apologized for scheduling a second 9am meeting one week, saying he knew it was hard for the nocturnal vampire types.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh dear, I've totally fallen down the rabbit hole of wrong because I read Allyson's post and went right past "fetuses aren't cute" (which until now I thought was a truth universally acknowledged) and right to, where does one find pictures of fetuses? Aren't they usually housed inside wombs? Which leaves mostly ultrasound images, and those are downright creepy looking what with the looking like alien skeletons and all. I mean, even my own kids looked a bit uncanny in those pics, and I was really predisposed to loving them.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh, penguins.

I just watched the "Absolution" Revenge episode. 3 more to go. For an episode with almost no action there was a LOT of stuff happening. Holy shifting alliances! This show is like a dark, dark, bittersweet chocolate dessert.

When it means not paying for cable? Then yes. Yes it is. And there are fewer commercials than what is on broadcast.

Well, actually I am watching Glee, and I do have cable; I just don't have Glee set up to be DVR'd.

But now I want to watch the last few episodes of the season, and I just sat through 5 minutes on commercial to get the END CREDITS? Fuck you, Hulu.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm taking tomorrow off so we can head up to Balticon in the early afternoon. (Gary runs the "filk and other musical mayhem" track.)
