"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I give you Swinton: [link]

SWINTON!

Wow.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

SWINTON!

Wow.

Seconded.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had a post in mind, clicked on the SWINTON, and have absolutely no idea what I'd been going to say.

Mostly because of the SWINTON and everything inherent there, but also a little bit because of the MPREG.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

SWINTON!

I cannot wait for the Jim Jarmusch vampire movie she's going to be in with Tom Hiddleston. And OH, how I am hoping that there's a scene using a bladed ankh pendant, because the idea of SWINTON being part of a shout-out to The Hunger (in which David Bowie was a vampire) makes me dizzy with fangirl glee.

(The Hunger shout-out is totally from my fevered imagination, I have seen no rumors of such a thing. But a vampire fangirl can hope, right?)

That's a lot of mesmerising potential right there...

This morning I discovered yet another downside to people knowing your "usual". Last week when I went to buy a morningstar muffin, the lady told me there were none left. Today she apologised, because apparently there had been one left, but her co-worker spotted me in line and put it conveniently aside and didn't tell her.

See, people? Nothing but a cavalcade of catastrophe.

Because books.

I would have loved to see the love child of David Bowie and Swinton. Can you imagine? Blindingly fey and otherwordly and beautiful.

Personally, I'm crushed he never reproduced with Iman. Tilda is all sorts of amazing, but I've been fixated on Iman for most of my life. I don't consider her remotely realistic, the way she takes my breath away.

Don't Bowie and Iman have a daughter Alexandria Zahra Jones?

brillig

Added news--the photographer who took that picture of Alexandria dropped dead moments later, having had the Iman Eyebrows of Doom aimed at him.

DUDE. I totally missed that (I'm fixated on her face, not her life).

I take it all back. My heart is healed.

And that girl is as gorgeous as I could have dreamt.
