Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I haven't been cat called much, and not in a long time. Probably because I don't walk alone much, and I have this invisibility thing going on.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, party prep being done!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am very impressed with all the work you put in. VERY.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Good luck, Jesse!

I've found grey hair seems to keep down the catcalls. Or maybe it's because I live where I live.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Go, Jesse!

Every time I read posts here about cat calling and the like, I'm always a bit shocked that these things actually happen in real life it's just so outside my experience. I suppose one of the advantages of being handicapped and therefore being viewed as non-sexual by a large majority of men, is that I have never had to deal with that bullshit. I'm sorry that so many woman here have.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am very impressed with all the work you put in. VERY.

Aw, thanks! I'm not going to lie -- I am expecting years of people being impressed out of this. And actually, it's been about a day and a half of work, which isn't really that much in the greater scheme of things.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

This is for Allyson: [link]

I loved that. I was feeling pretty blue, there was a gathering of Beastie Boys fans in NY and AdRock showed, resulting in adorable: [link]

And then, BABY BAT YAWNS! Cutie cute cute.

I bought a grill yesterday, and stopped at the butcher shop. Got ridiculous amounts of fresh chicken and beef. I was not catcalled on the way, which is just silly because OMG I AM SO PRETTY.

Art Crawl!!!

In case any of you didn't see the Preakness.

I think that the race announcer may not have a voice today.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, when I learned to shoot at the Becoming an Outdoorswoman workshop, I handled a lot of handguns, and I liked how the Sig fit my hand best. The only issue is that my finger is a little too short to lie along the trigger guard properly. But since then, they came out with a narrower grip, which I think would solve the problem.

I think I would never own a firearm because of my suicidal tendencies. But I definitely enjoyed conquering my fear of them.
