Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

In other news, I am making my first attempt at braising a beef roast. I ate a full dinner hours ago and the smell of it cooking is still making my mouth water.

Question: when it's done, would there be any problem with me using the excess fluid in place of plain water for making couscous?

Matt, I shouldn't think so. It's basically beef broth.

ION, I just managed to shatter both my pyrex liquid measuring cups on the kitchen floor. Way to go! Sigh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This is pretty. Judge as red carpet wear, but this is a consummate professional, not that puling child Stewart.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'd love Dita to give Stewart lessons. By which I mean porn.

I've made quinoa and couscous with chicken broth, don't see why you couldn't with beef

Kat, how weird to know. I guess I'd be pretty interested to meet any half siblings I had, but maybe not have an ongoin relationship. Mostly since I have siblings already, I think.

Sorry about Swifty, lisah.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I like the Kristen Stewart thing because I like her unconventional take on red carpets. To me, that's high fashion.

Wow, that's some dress. Although she's certainly carrying it off. INasmuch as that's possible. I'd be worried about any lateral movement unseating her boobs, though...

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm so sorry, Lisa.

So my kids had their first piano lesson tonight. It was an unqualified success! So that's good. In not good news, the principal at my son's school is leaving to become an Instructional Director for LAUSD. Sigh. At least the school will have some say in who is hired, but still, she's so great. It's a worry.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I clicked, even though I really really shouldn't have

I'm sorry, lisah

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm sorry about Swifty, Lisa.

I have half siblings without the donor factor and huh is about where I sit.

Or meh. I'm all meh about mine. Haven't seen them since I was four, so I reckon they feel the same about me.
