And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Tom and I got married in '04 too, but not till October. Since then, I've bought a house, got a Masters degree, moved twice, changed time zones, adopted 2 cats.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I met TCG at the end of 2004. Since then I have moved 4 times, got married, and bought a house. My life is infinitely better than I would have guessed it could have been 8 years ago.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I will skip the introspection and go straight to punching linear time in the face.

Happy anniversary, Zmayhems!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hmm, got married to my longtime sweetheart, bought a house, lost a uterus, took up roller skating, and watched a LOT of movies and TV.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I do believe that 8 years is unpossible!

What we were doing eight years ago.

The bride.

ita !, I'm totally with you on being more comfortable working from home. This ergo set-up in the office thing hurts. I'm mainly in the office today to pack up my stuff. They are moving our whole group to another buiding on campus. This is my third office move in a year. And we will move again at the end of this year/early next year. I may not unpack.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

take a minute to reflect on how your life has changed in the last eight years.

I live in the same house in the same town. I've lost about twenty pounds, changed jobs, lost one dog and got another, started providing more care to my parents, done a lot of writing along the way. Not nearly as many changes as most of y'all, really.

As predicted, my mother didn't make it to the colonoscopy. That's the third appointment they've cancelled, and we told my folks not to schedule another one. ::facepalm::

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

erikaj, you became a published writer! That's pretty damn big from where I sit!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The bride.

I was half expecting Uma Thurman in a yellow jumpsuit.
