Wesley: We were fighting on opposite sides, but it was the same war. Fred: but you hated her…didn't you? Wesley: It's not always about holding hands.

I also see a lot of Shonda Rimes influence up in there--Addison, Naomi, Charlotte, Violet...it's like she named Private Practice based on the popular names NOW.

And also on the Shonda Rimes, love the Scandal article. Many interesting points I've seen discussed more deeply elsewhere, but nice to see them touched on in mainstream, as opposed to blog posts. I want to like Scandal more than I do. I also wanted Amanda Tanner's baby to actually be the president's, and have some internal torment, as opposed to the recent "OMG it's all a crazy setup by a secret psychopath in the VP's office!"

Librarian Warlord

Pimping an article in the NYT Magazine written by a friend: [link]

We're hoping to go to her wedding this summer, if my DH can get away from the UN. I guess I should ask if she's inviting kids. Ha!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I read this morning! Horrifying.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That article makes me think of Misha Collins' son, who he's described as violent enough that they're taking him to classes to try and teach him to be gentler.

Or maybe to strike without bruising.

It's hard to be sure with Misha.

But is he callous and manipulative?

Perhaps not yet.

But soon, I'm sure.

Did you see the red carpet/event photos of him: [link] ? And the seven million macros that are coming out of it? Like this [link] ?

brillig

I got lured into investigating the net presence of Hay-on-Wye, the book town on the border of England and Wales. I was looking at a map of the region and spied a delightful place that deserves a spot in a Pooh book, Mouse Castle Wood. What a glorious name.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Raining here.
