Wow, reading my news headlines shows Avengers crossing over $1 Billion in 19 days time.

Also, seriously, seeing his name in the credits made me SO HAPPY.
Basically. He's not perfect, and he's not the Best Feminist Ever, and maybe he can even be a dick in real life sometimes, but his work has always been My Thing, and it brings people together in a wonderful community, so keep on keeping on, man.

I threw the horns. Or pumped my fist in the air. I can't remember which. Just pure glee.
I have painted the bedroom ceiling (well, 1/4 of it.) Now I'm just hoping that it was one of the rooms I just used the kilz and don't have to go back and do a coat of the flat white. Because I remember now how much I hate painting ceilings. Even more fun with 2 goofy cats who like to be in the same room with you....

I did manage to avoid spattering too much paint....until I went to seal the paintcan and forgot there was a bit in the lip and wheee! Luckily, had a damp rag and got it off the lamp and wall (walls are not white.)
I think I may have been the only person who laughed at Stan Lee at the end. There were a few jokes where I was the only one laughing (I particularly enjoyed Cap giving Fury $10)

I've read this a couple times. What does it mean? Joss Whedon has been one of the most famous writer-producers in Hollywood for at least a decade and a half. He's had four network series, written a few movies, and gotten three now into wide release. Avengers is a big blockbuster, but what do you think this means? That his name is better known? Because he hasn't been obscure since he punched up Speed.
Not obscure, but certainly not on the tip of people's tongues when discussing directors. It is a big feather in his cap.
