Trust my rage

NC is a conundrum to me. I love the Triangle area and the friends I made there. But I have never run into so much outright racism as I did in NC. None of it was directed at me. But there was a lot of conspiratorial "we are all white here so it's okay" stuff that I had never seen before. I know this isn't a racism issue but that experience really soured me on the state, which the small exception of Carborro, Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh (sort of).

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

One thing. While I don't know the law in detail, I do know that sometimes if you move immediately after a contract is signed, you can get out of it either at no cost or at a comparatively small penalty. A whole bunch of ifs outside my paygrade as a non-lawyer. But if I were a bigwig in that company, I would consult a lawyer who specializes in whatever area of contract law covers that particular contract to see if it can be gotten out of comparatively cheaply, and check NOW.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

An unapologetically reductionist cartoon about Australian wildlife

Psh. Like we have spcial clock spiders. They're just regular redbacks, people!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

As one of my friends puts it, "Australia, land of poison and flame!"

You need the flame to fight all the poisonous stuff! Well, except for box jellyfish. And stonefish. and blue-ringed octopus. Ok, I'm seeing a flaw in this plan. ("The goggles! They do nothing!")

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

From back a ways, I'm sorry about London, Sparky, and I hope K feels better soon.

I would also like Mr. Ralph Stanley. Stupid big country.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I wish it were feasible for me to take Mr. Ralph Stanley. I'm sure he and Walter would get along great. Go bowling and drink beers and sing sad songs. Dog stuff.
