Because books.

I bet everything feels weird right now, msbelle. I wish a whole bunch of us could come keep you company.

Always Anti-fascist!

Cory Booker loves Rachel Maddow. Of course, Keith always said(with no little jealousy) that everyone does. But she loves Cory Booker back(um, not like *that*...they went to college together or something.)

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I wish we could do more.

BTW, I wish to report that I unjustly maligned Mr Peabody last night. Out of one human and four dogs, he was the only one who figured out that the possum was indeed playing possum. There is evidence of its existence, since it tore down part of the deer netting my neighbor has added to her fence to keep Nugget, the amazing jumping dog, in.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

msbelle, I know the empty house feeling really well. All I can say is keep the TV on or have music playing. The quiet is no good.

I wish you the strength and peace necessary to get through this.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh msbelle, I'm sorry today didn't go as well as you would have liked.

I wish that things for kids weren't always fraught. I wish that there were a way to snap and make everything better. But unfortunately it's a lot of long and shitty work.

Sigh.

On my end of the world, today has been a high stress day. I've been accused (AGAIN!) of being part of a cabal and also I've been called a minion. By my coworkers.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

As an extrovert who lives alone, I love the podcasts. Clark Howard, This American Life, The Nerdist, Tara Brach... anyone else got suggestions? I could always use more.

I just listened to the victory speech for Amendment One supporters. I literally feel nauseated now. So much hatred in God's name... seems like it's always been so. Devils quoting scripture for their own selfish purposes.

Time to go to bed, and let it go.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

anyone else got suggestions?

Stephen Fry! He gives you the impression that some humans are witty and humane.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

anyone else got suggestions?

Um. Girl on Guy with Aisha Tyler. Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! Star Talk by Neil deGrasse Tyson.

For Mother's Day I just bought my mom a bunch of mystery stuff, because nothing says "I love you!" like murder?

For dinner tonight I made linguine with red Swiss chard, broccolini, green peas, turkey kielbasa, garlic and Serrano pepper, and Alfredo sauce, and topped it with chopped heirloom tomato.
