Because books.

I'm sort of disappointed with Pottermore. I'm ready for Book 2, you know? Mostly because there's not enough to do once you finish Book 1, and I can't get the potions or spells to work very well.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Laura,

Cat food is always on the list :). (Nova likes to chew on things, like buttons and earrings.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm with you Amy. I kinda want more purpose to my play.

One thing I find interesting is that Ravenclaw has significantly less members than the other three houses. I do get why Gryffindor and Slitherin are way more popular, but I was surprised that Hufflepuff outstripped Ravenclaw. Of course, my assumption is that everyone manipulated their answers to get into the house they wanted. As far as I can tell, house member is determined almost entirely on the answer to "What would you like to be known as? The Brave? The Good? The Wise? or The Great?"

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Amy, I found it kind of boring too. I think I'd rather kill zombies.

So, we have a thunderstorm. I guess we'll not get the lawn clean and mowed today. Balls!

I can't even remember how I answered that.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

With potions, it's mostly a matter of how you pick up the ingredients, making sure you do it in exactly the order given, and not spilling stuff (i.e., picking up the bottles by the top). And if you screw up, you can refresh. Many of the ingredients regenerate in the chapters once you've exhausted your supply.

With spells, it's all about the rhythm. You can set a metronome and be nearly perfect. It would be nice if it wasn't straight points, if it mattered which spell you used against which.

Actually, Hufflepuff has more members than Slytherin too.

It would help if you could see which friends were online in the address book thingy. You can tell if you go into each friend's profile, but that's laborious.

See! I was just surprised, and charmed, that it was so popular.

Art Crawl!!!

Thanks, David.

Bodemeister was excellent. I wonder if there had been an option to get to the front and slow things down a bit. . . what might have happened.

On the other hand, I'll Have Another had a perfect trip.

If they both show up for the Preakness it should be interesting.

not your mom's socks.

Neighborhood festival today. Neighbors and HPF set up a lemonade stand. They're doing pretty well - still keeping it together after 3 hours.

... I go to take a shower, leaving the dads in charge, and return to find HPF's got her violin out and is busking on the sidewalk.

At least she's practicing, I guess.
