Let me fix that by burbling about my new amazing boss! Who is sending me to a conference the first week in December IN VEGAS! Whoo! Seriously, I had to apply for a corporate Amex and everything.
You could read this, which I thought was from the onion, but in fact, is not; [link]
I just drove CJ and another Search & Rescue kid to a HUGE fire. A retail space behind Whole Foods (rumored to be an incoming H&M) had its insulation catch fire. The smoke had just turned to white when I dropped the boys off.
I'm now ensconced at a Pete's, trying to stay in the area while they do their thing. I'm always jealous of the nommy holiday coffee drinks since I don't drink coffee anymore. But they have pumpkin chai and it is NOM. The gal was also selling me on some Solstice Tea, which is an Earl Grey variant - may need to buy some to have at home. It smells SO good.
OH. threadless.com has a series of shirts inspired by Disney villians, people should go look.
I just got an invitation to join the office holiday gift exchange.

how would you do that in a timely manner? oh my god.
now holiday gift exchange thing here at work I don't hink. I guess I actually better ask since it would probably be up to me to organize.
Well, I just got back from the SA Art Collection storage area in the sub-basement of the university library.
Where they were supposed to come get me in about an hour . . . instead they left me there!!
I had to leave via the emergency exit (takes you to the stairs) and climb up to the 2nd floor (because I really didn't want to set off the alarms.)
I was almost back to the office when I realized I'd left my sorter and notepad in the basement.
Not going back . . . .
