Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Y'all are making me want pie but I've never made a successful pie crust. sigh. Now I want to try Republic of Pie.

Because the fragile flower gifted kids have issues with risk taking and perfectionism.

When did it become the norm to treat gifted kids like emotional wrecks?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

That's what the vodka is supposed to fix

Eh. I'm with shrift. Other people make pie.

I can just drink the vodka.

FiveThirtyEight is at 92.2% and I am still worried. I need closure.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Such a good article.

The issue is, though, if you misread the text then your interpretation is wrong. It's a fine line to balance, but there are some readings that clearly miss the meaning of the text completely.

This! There is room for interpretation, but you gotta first make sure you are reading the lines correctly.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Re the pie dough, have you seen this: [link] Some more tips from the creator of vodka crust. Maybe the volume of flour is a problem?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I've made successful graham cracker crusts for pies. But I don't think that really counts as making a crust.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Fair enough, Kat. I had a sophomore honors English teacher who believed that there was exactly one right interpretation, though, and that sucked.

Happy medium, people. Happy medium. (which required more...intellectual capacity than I think some of my teachers had at their disposal. Not all, obviously, but a few.) "Learn how to make reasonably sure you're not misreading" is as useful as "don't be locked into just one way of thinking about it."

I look more rad than Lutheranism

The closer tomorrow gets, the more and more worried that this is going to turn into another Bush/Gore fiasco.

I really, REALLY hope that Ohio isn't the Florida of this election.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Check it, apparently a judge may rule that ballots need to be handcounted in OH because of the software "patch" installation on certain machines by the SoS.

The OH SoS needs to be in jail. Period.
