"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

so i am sitting in my office late and apparently I didn't move much for awhile because the automatic light shut off on me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm looking at the website of the Republican candidate for governor, and he has nothing at all about social issues. This seems suspicious.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

so i am sitting in my office late and apparently I didn't move much for awhile because the automatic light shut off on me.

Oh lord -- ours turns off after I swear five minutes. MAYBE ten, but it shuts off on me all the damn time.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Can sugar free hot cocoa mix o bad? It's a little off tasting but I can't tell if that's from SF, staleness, or bad.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Open or sealed?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Go OWS!

48 muffins done (blueberry and orange-cranberry, from a mix! Sadly, because my muffins aren't all that [not a euphemism]), a double batch of really homemade chocolate chip in progress. I'm thinking apple-ginger bread to round it off for the night.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The fats can probably go rancid but I would think it would take quite a while given preservatives.

and he has nothing at all about social issues. This seems suspicious.

More than just a little.

Apparently repairing the lines ended up cutting off power to a few more people.

It doesn't surprise me but I hope more people have power soon. Power companies have some flaws but getting people their electricity back after an outage tends to be number one on their list and they are amazing in their efficiency in the midst of troubles.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah. They're usually pretty good, but with the huge number of people with power out, it's taking a while. They've got estimates of when each town will be back, but they're already behind that schedule.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That's awesome. Bust it out, OWS.

Man, I finally finalized my candidate and proposition votes. That took way more effort than should have been necessary. This is how voter disenfranchisement happens, people! Make info easier to find!
