Thrive to spite them

There are several people running against Sanders for US Senate. There's MacGovern with the GOP, someone from the marjiuana party, another from the KISS Party (Keep it Simple Stupid -laws in plan language, flat tax), Peace and Propserity party and a true socialist.

Seven Days (the free Vermont Weekly newspaper) had a run down on their blog called The Island of the Misfit Candidates, or Why Bernie Will Never Lose [link]

Which included the Marijuana Party candidate rambling on about "When President Obama spoke about the big yellow bird, I don't think he was talking about [Big Bird]. I think he was talking about China. You know, Chinese people, Oriental people are referred to as yellow."

Will watched the video he said it was hilarious and disturbing.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Damn, ita !. It infuriates me how you are treated by so many of these doctors and nurses. It's such an indictment on our system when even someone who has insurance coverage and is really committed to trying nearly anything to get better, can't. Not that every problem is solvable but they aren't doing everything they can even when it's clearly spelled out for them in your file. And that should not happen.

Hah! I have an "I Ride Inside: Dogs Against Romney" sticker on my car. Someone even asked me about it this weekend, which was nice.

I shamelessly told my (step)Mom all about this issue because she's probably more empathetic to dogs than disadvantaged people. I don't know if it will sway her vote but sadly it was my best shot.

Okay, I am a moron. I thought it was some television thing. Like GO TV.

Not just you.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Good for you, Calli.

My brain just refuses to consider the implications of Obama not winning. I tried today and it just... shut down. I may have been making the sad Mac face, IDK.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Ignoring politics as much as possible this evening. I've voted. I've encouraged others to vote. Now I want to sleep until the winner is announced.

In the mean time, I went through the packages of DVDs I've been piling up. I'm replacing our VHS Disney movies and have been hiding the packages from K-Bug. She is at work tonight, so I went through to take inventory and check the used ones. Out of the 23 movies, 4 were new in wrapper, 1 is seriously scratched up (sold like new, so I need to deal with that), and 2 were duplicates (not sure how I managed that - Alice in Wonderland and Lion King is anyone is interested). There are still another 7 that I just ordered over the weekend that haven't arrived yet.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm pretty sure I talked someone out of a Romney vote tonight. Unfortunately, it was only to a third party, and it was only on the basis that the Mormon vote here will carry that side regardless, but I'll take a win where I've got one.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Steph, when I first did GOTV calls, I thought it was a typo for gov't.

I went to a book reading/signing! It was fun, except the few men in the audience asked all of the (mostly dumb) questions. I would have asked one, but couldn't come up with anything better! Difference between men and women.

I can't believe how many Christmas gifts I have already gotten. How many = three. But still!

Pretty impressive grassroots organizing, and check out the discussion in the comments.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Wow. According to the latest numbers, my parents' town is 90% without power. It was 80% a few days ago. Apparently repairing the lines ended up cutting off power to a few more people.
