"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That's completely do-able, Liese.

Also, okay, great! Thank you. Man, it's so great to have localistas everywhere.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Tomorrow can't be over with soon enough. I don't watch much live tv, but I do listen to the radio, and most of the ads are political ones. Sooo tired of them.

I get Veterans' Day off, as I'm a federal employee. Gary doesn't, though the non-profit he works for follows the government's lead for other holidays and closings. He does get the day after Thanksgiving as a holiday, though.

Our wings are not tired.

Another sure sign that may or may not help cheer up LSU fans -

Since 1984, the winner of the Louisiana State University vs. Alabama game has accurately predicted the winner of the presidential election. If LSU wins, a Republican takes office. If Alabama wins, a Democrat takes office.

Verdict: President Obama

eta: maybe I should have included a spoiler alert there

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Got gas from coworker which got me the Lebanon for more gas. Going to suffer one more night here and then escape with kitties to NH. Got extra gas for evil neighbor so I don't owe him and then some.

I've hated these kids for a year, and seeing them with their foster parents (my neighbors) my ovaries quivered and I want to rescue them from bad parenting.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I really do not know how I will get work done tomorrow. I just want to watch news all day, even with no news to report.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Laura, haaaa. I am sharing that with my Democrat LSU fan of a boss.

I BELIEVE THE COOKIES, TOO.

Our wings are not tired.

Cold comfort, smonster, we were cheering for LSU at my house, but the guys felt better when I told them about the predictive nature of the game.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I am philosophically opposed to legislation-by-initiative, the way it is practiced in California. It's an abdication of the legislature's responsibility, passing the burden of investigation and research to the general public.

It completely is. And, yet, it's apparently what enough Californians want that we're stuck with it. I hate it, it's stupid and it's really bad for the state and the population. Especially because everything is poorly drafted and nearly impossible to parse every nuance of outcome. I'm jaded so I expect that is what the authors intended. Infuriates me. I elect people to be the government and understand the laws they are passing or changing. Clearly the entire population is not informed enough and I don't think could be without making it their full-time job which, hey, it is for elected officials. And I'm too annoyed by this to make sure more of those sentences are grammatically correct.

Also, why the fuck don't local candidates, you know, put their information up somewhere? I don't know who you are, small race person! I am not going to vote for you based on your yard sign and poster sized attack ads! What are your positions, man?

I sent my choices to Mom and she wondered how I had chosen in a local BoE race. Sadly, I had to tell her that there was the incumbent and a challenger and because neither had a statement or any presence I could find any damn place on the web, I picked the challenger. The incumbent really should have known better. especially because the challenger requested, filled out and had filed every single candidacy document a week before the incumbent even requested them. So it wasn't like he should be surprised there was a challenger. Truly neither deserved my vote but someone is getting that position. Seriously, tell me something about yourself!

Ugh, it needs to be Wednesday and it needs to be definitively decided, not up for recount or the Supreme Court.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In weird news, this week is the second Wait Wait within like a month with someone I sort of know mentioned.

Am also getting anxious about tomorrow.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

In case this helps, I made this wallpaper for my phone yesterday. All of you are welcome to it.
