It's not like she blew me off. She just left with another guy, that's all.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

My kids also say "yea." But then, they spell "Well" as "Will" so what do they know?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

"Woah" looks like it would be pronounced "woe-AH," which is not what I hear when Keanu says it. I hear "woe," with maybe a dragged out "oh" sound.

I can't believe I'm talking about this.

(Also, when people post "ya" instead of "yeah" I really do assume that they speak that way, like the Swedish chef, or someone from "Fargo.")

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

You know, a lot of people say that Election Day should be a holiday, so more people can vote.

It is a school holiday around here. So I know a bunch of adults who are taking the day off to deal with the kids. Round about way to have it be an official holiday.

Woah, yeah, yay, woot.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I have tomorrow off in my new job, for the first time ever.

Because books.

The kids here are off school tomorrow, too.

S. has a second interview today at 12:30, and it's one of those three-hour deals. Some job~ma would be great -- it's a much better job than he has now in every possible way.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

it'd be dark when I got to school, and dark many days when I left school, for after-school activities and tutoring.

Yep. This is me.

The kids here are off school tomorrow, too.

Same here. It's because all of our schools are polling places and there is a security risk with unvetted adults traipsing through schools when kids are present. So, the kids are off and it's an inservice day for teachers. Woot.

But, I voted last Sunday. So there.

One of my co-workers always takes off Election Day to work the polls, and this year she already requested Wednesday off as well, to recover. I can't blame her.

I'm going to get up early tomorrow and vote before work, in the hopes the lines aren't too long. I'll take a book and food.

Punishingly Intricate

Bailey looks like she could be part border collie, which would explain wanting everyone in one room. Needs to have her flock together!

Amy, job-ma for S.

For once the dogs slept in this morning: the St. Bernard did not keep me up half the night with his panting (it shakes the house, seriously), and the Golden Retriever did not start whining at 5AM to be let out! I have no idea why, unless it's because I put them all to bed at 10PM, which their body clocks would have thought was 11PM.

Still, lovely to get a full night's rest without canine disturbances.
