The kids here are off school tomorrow, too.
S. has a second interview today at 12:30, and it's one of those three-hour deals. Some job~ma would be great -- it's a much better job than he has now in every possible way.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

it'd be dark when I got to school, and dark many days when I left school, for after-school activities and tutoring.
Yep. This is me.

Same here. It's because all of our schools are polling places and there is a security risk with unvetted adults traipsing through schools when kids are present. So, the kids are off and it's an inservice day for teachers. Woot.
But, I voted last Sunday. So there.
One of my co-workers always takes off Election Day to work the polls, and this year she already requested Wednesday off as well, to recover. I can't blame her.
I'm going to get up early tomorrow and vote before work, in the hopes the lines aren't too long. I'll take a book and food.
Bailey looks like she could be part border collie, which would explain wanting everyone in one room. Needs to have her flock together!
Amy, job-ma for S.
For once the dogs slept in this morning: the St. Bernard did not keep me up half the night with his panting (it shakes the house, seriously), and the Golden Retriever did not start whining at 5AM to be let out! I have no idea why, unless it's because I put them all to bed at 10PM, which their body clocks would have thought was 11PM.
Still, lovely to get a full night's rest without canine disturbances.

Also, bring:
One of my cousin's wives posted a picture of her grandmother's Halloween costume.
A dress made of gray paint shade sample strips.
hunting knife
You don't know my neighborhood, man. It's semi-automatic weapons all the way.
fully-charged phone
I will charge my phone!
Sadly, the place I vote is the rec center where I work out, and they don't have wifi, so I can't liveblog my wait.
Fortunately, I live in a redonkulously liberal neighborhood, so at least the wait in line should be festive.
How many wives does your cousin have?
I'm sick home from work, though I'm monitoring requests from my desk here if need be.
We're going to try to vote before work, too. We'll see how it goes, but I am not anticipating a wait.
