Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I would expect it to get wide play if true. I have my doubts. Unlikely he paid nothing all ten years. But not impossible. In terms of holding people up - yeah completely illegal. I suspect it was incompetence and assholedom by low level people rather than campaign policy. But still says something about campaign that it happened.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If people started warning for "not known not to be a risk2,,,well, I'd imagine there wouls be a lot more reading to do on the corn flakes box over brekkie. I think there needs to be a point to labelling, and as far as I can tell, of all the stickers you could slap on your food, GMO wouldn't really help with anything ,

I guess I'd have to see what are the putative risks first. Though I do think telling people IT'S EVERYWHERE would be pretty amusing--I'm guessing retailers aren't in the business of amusing me.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Here's the article on Romney's taxes: [link] Reading it, I have to say I'm unclear whether it's saying his total tax bill was zero, or just on the trust in question.

Meanwhile, more news that he minimised tax through arrangements in the Netherlands: [link]

This close to election day, I think perhaps these are unlikely to have much effect. I'm not sure if they're different in scope to the tax avoidance arrangements we already knew about (or at least if they seem different).

You know what sucks? When you get up at 5, DST doesn't help you wake when it is light out.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I hear that, and I remember from my teaching days. SO BITTER: it'd be dark when I got to school, and dark many days when I left school, for after-school activities and tutoring.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My one upside here is that we have a beautiful view of the sunset, which we'll start seeing this week, I guess.

At this point, I don't know what time really means. Only going to get worse. As long as I make my flight tonight...

Msbelle is a lovely host only wish I'd had more time. She & Mac are quite a pair of sillies. PS I owe her coffee. Bailey has transferred her affections now that they've left the house, but clearly they are HER people!

Ugh, I wish I didn't have to shower until right before I left for the airport, but I think there is a zoo trip with grubby little boys before that. Ah well, I'll be gross by the time I land anyway.

Bailey is looking for her people, I'm thin beer.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think I just stepped over the line on Facebook. No way to pull back.

Since the most recent post of yours I can see is about pumpkin bread, I would just like to say on behalf of the banana-bread lobby, BURN IN HELL BLASPHEMER.

The bill will not going to magically make them go away but I always side on an informed populace.

I don't think this bill will result in a more informed populace, is the thing. So not that I'm in CA and have a vote, but I'm against it until the terms can be more rigorously defined.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This xkcd is funny because it's true. Or something.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I saw the Romney tax thing go by on Twitter and saw nothing else about it anywhere, so I assumed it was not true. If it were true, you'd think Maddow at least would have jumped on it with both feet. She did a show last night.

I still can't get into work. I want to go back to bed, which at 10am is just silly.
