"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Univision is reporting that people are waiting EIGHT HOURS to fucking vote in Miami. They are determined and remaining in line.

Fucking governor of FL - I hope you are fucking ashamed. This is unconscionable. Fucking unconscionable.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

What Suela fails to note is that Bottle Shock is really predictable drivel!

Mildly entertaining at best.

Yeah, it's not brilliant by any means. And I really disliked the fake love triangle thing.

But I liked the cast, and the cinematography, and it was a nice cozy movie with a feel-good sensibility. Sometimes that's what I'm in the mood for. Some days unchallenging is just fine.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

You had me at Alan Rickman, personally.

t raises an eyebrow

Are you taking the piss? I believe you are.

Which is totally fine by me. It is in fact totally predictable, because everyone knows what happens, and no movie with Chris Pine on the cast will end without him getting the girl. (Even Star Trek, because the Enterprise is the girl in that universe.)

But it was still enjoyable. To me.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I don't recall ever having to give a reason for absentee ballot, and my entire pre-Oregon-where-the-whole-state-votes-by-mail life in both VA and CA I always voted by absentee ballot (first because of being a student, then because it was just easier and more convenient.) IIRC, once you sign up for absentee (at last in VA and CA) you can elect then to be permanent absentee voter and they just keep sending you the absentee ballot to whatever address you specified until/unless you ask them to stop or send it somewhere else. I think there was a clause that if you did not return the absentee ballot more than once your absentee status would be revoked, and then you'd have to go wait in line and such. It was super easy to set up.

eta: ok, apparently not all states are as lenient as CA and some do have requirements. is a nice resource

Yeah, I'm permanent absentee in CA. It's great.

I'm not so much taking the piss at you. I really did not like that movie.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sounds like the movie is best enjoyed with a bottle of wine or two.

I doubt it somehow, that he feels shame I mean. But yeah, he should.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Missed the deadline to absentee vote in Virginia. By one day. Go me. Never mind, I can vote on Election Day, I just didn't wanna wait.
