... I will say that Bottle Shock is gorgeously filmed: it's like a love-letter to Napa and Sonoma counties. So much light in this movie, so many lingering shots over golden California hillsides covered with vinyards and live oak.
Gorgeous filming reminds me of the colour palettes in the Life Of Pi trailer. Is there, like, a special Indian film stock/Final Cut setting? And why can't they make a West Indian film that looks that gorgeous? We might not have tigers, but we have stories.
Mmm, sounds like I should see the film, but just as well I waited to rent it.
So Franny wrote an email to her grandmother today to tell her she loves her and she misses her.
And Bradley Whitford just showed up as an oenology professor at UC Davis.
I will admit that Chris Pine does not look his best in a shoulder-length mop.
Okay, and Enrico Colantoni! As a French wine journalist, of all things.
Such a cast.
'Suela,
I thought the movie was just okay. Mildly entertaining at best.
Univision is reporting that people are waiting EIGHT HOURS to fucking vote in Miami. They are determined and remaining in line.
Fucking governor of FL - I hope you are fucking ashamed. This is unconscionable. Fucking unconscionable.
What Suela fails to note is that Bottle Shock is really predictable drivel!
Mildly entertaining at best.
Yeah, it's not brilliant by any means. And I really disliked the fake love triangle thing.
But I liked the cast, and the cinematography, and it was a nice cozy movie with a feel-good sensibility. Sometimes that's what I'm in the mood for. Some days unchallenging is just fine.
