Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

I stopped by Backstreets, the Springsteen fansite, and saw this: [link]

Which is pretty awesome.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In good Sandy news, I just heard that the power in most of lower Manhattan came back on around 5:30! Dare I hope we might have subways from Brooklyn on Monday??

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

A lot of New Jersey is going on even/odd days gas rationing.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I have a quilt and some old winter coats I could donate, Hil. (If I'm anywhere near your parents, that is).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, now they're manipulating me with a photo montage set to "Fix You." That song is like kryptonite for me.

Isn't it for everyone? I can't even describe the part that always makes me cry without tearing up.

I don't think you are. You're in central Jersey, right? They're up near NYC. Thanks, though.

Yikes. I haven't seen any open gas stations in Brooklyn for two days now, but I also don't need to drive. (When I filled up my car on Sunday, I thought I was being paranoid, but now I'm so relieved I thought of it.)

It's a perfectly normal chilly breezy November night right now, and I still can't help flinching every time it gusts.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

The whole fucking song? And I'm not even a fan of Coldplay.

Jessica, I thought the same thing when I topped off the tank on Sunday night, but after seeing what's going on in the Tri-State area, I will never NOT do it before a major storm.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The whole fucking song? And I'm not even a fan of Coldplay.
