That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

the rational side of my brain believes Nate Silver, so if I were a betting man I'd bet on Obama. But my emotional side is sure something weird will happen and Romney will win.

My school had a mock election a few days ago and the students "elected" Obama. If that makes you feel any better.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

It's because I'm mysterious and unknowable.

hhrrruummpph. People have always laughed at me when I have suggested that I am mysterious and such, but then they laugh just as much when I say I am an open book. I am a rock, I am an island.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm not telling, because who knows where it might end up! Also I wish I had bid more on some things, once I remembered donation + free shipping.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

This is me, too.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The economists in my twitter feed are puzzling over one aspect of the polls that I have found curious for weeks: why is Romney supposedly up in the national polls, but Obama is up in key states? That didn't make sense population-wise and what I knew of Obama's leads in blue states vs. Romney's in red states.

Silver has a long article on this point, and I don't doubt his methodology at all, I think it is sound. I do think there is a bit of a systematic problem with some polling though.
