since I moved, I need to get my act together for emergency preparedness. can you all recommend what kind of kits I need to buy/put together (note: buying a kit is preferable because if I need to put something together I might not be prepared for 2 years).

Having this wnbc coverage on almost all day, I find it interesting that they have had no reporters on the streets in Manhattan.

And they just showed coverage in Chelsea. LOTS of people out walkers and drivers. why the hell are so many people driving around?
Although maybe our new mayor would do that.
Our mayor was on Undercover Boss. So that was pretty spiffy. He was even on roadkill duty.
He was actually pretty awesome on the show, and by all accounts he's a good guy. It's just sort of hilarious that he put on a fat suit and fake dreadlocks to pick up roadkill and issue parking tickets.
why the hell are so many people driving around?
Day off, no public transit? Or, people are often wacky. Take your pick.
