Lights have been flickering a ton for the past hour. I'll be surprised if we have electricity in the morning.
So far I've still got power/cable/interwebs. Don't know for how much longer, trying to fully charge all the devices just in case!

2 million people without electricity -- it's like Revolution only with realistic characters. And good plotting. And scientific plausibility.
Wow, the facade ripped of thing is super scary and super weird. It looks like a dollhouse.
Everyone stay safe and not inconvenienced. That is an ORDER.
Husband has a job interview in Albequerque. I don't know how I feel about this. Liese? Do you know the city?

JFC. Don't DO that. Damn TV personalities.
My job is killing me -- just make the call! But apparently Boston schools are open tomorrow, so I bet we'll be in.
Anderson Cooper, while standing in knee-deep water, reports that the CNN crew was still able to get some pizza in Asbury Park. Important stories, they haz them.

Dana, my parents lived near ABQ. I liked it but it is hot and dry. Beautiful mountains but not in the city itself. Let me know if you have more questions.
Awesome!ED was slightly less awesome. Openly just now got a text giving his excuses why *he* wouldn't be in to work, but didn't explicitly state we were also not expected to be in, and seemed rumple that it would be a judgment call on our part. Thankfully it was a group text so the DD told us not a minute later to stay home (while I was trying to compose a request for clarification).
ION, i filled up the tub to flush the toilet, but now my neighbor is saying don't because we have no sewage. Now, I'm of the "if it's yellow let it mellow..." school, so I can deal for a but isn't using pots of water to "flush" the way to bypass the no power/sewage issue? Or is that only good for homes with leach fields?
I am okay with hot. His parents (mostly) live in Santa Fe, so we've kind of driven through it. I don't know how likely it is to happen, though, because the potential employer seems kind of insane. He's just getting nervous about not having a job.
