Awesome!ED was slightly less awesome. Openly just now got a text giving his excuses why *he* wouldn't be in to work, but didn't explicitly state we were also not expected to be in, and seemed rumple that it would be a judgment call on our part. Thankfully it was a group text so the DD told us not a minute later to stay home (while I was trying to compose a request for clarification).
ION, i filled up the tub to flush the toilet, but now my neighbor is saying don't because we have no sewage. Now, I'm of the "if it's yellow let it mellow..." school, so I can deal for a but isn't using pots of water to "flush" the way to bypass the no power/sewage issue? Or is that only good for homes with leach fields?
I am okay with hot. His parents (mostly) live in Santa Fe, so we've kind of driven through it. I don't know how likely it is to happen, though, because the potential employer seems kind of insane. He's just getting nervous about not having a job.
I don't wish anyone any harm, but I do have fantasies of someone doing stand-ups in the ocean during a hurricane being washed away by a giant wave.
ABQ strikes me as one of those cities that is small but it really matters where you live. Some areas are straight out of Breaking Bar and other neighborhoods are beautiful bathe do have TJs, unlike us. I will say though that my parents, when they moved here to CO, comment constantly on what a poor state NM was compared to CO and this plays out in a lot of ways.
And possibly sacrifice things so that our power stays on through the whole storm.
I think it may be time to consider chaining John Travolta to a rock in the hope of appeasing it.
You can just see the eye on the wind map now. [link] It looks like wind currents across 1/3 of the country are from that storm.
