May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Stay safe, people! One measure of how big and strong this storm is is that Atlanta is on the outer edge, and we have winds strong enough to blow over trees and cause power outages. It's acorn season, so it sounds like my house is being strafed. The airport is full of stranded travelers who've been told they'll be here at least four days. They were sort of involuntarily evacuated.

In the realm of tiny disasters, I knocked over a bottle of soy sauce on the counter last night. The lid had a slow leak, so by this morning there was soy sauce everywhere. I think this is the universe's way to remind me to clean up after cooking.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm guessing pressure dropping?

A friend posted that her barometer is the lowest she has ever seen it. Also, that animals are very sensitive to the pressure drop. Uncle Bud seem unperturbed, so far.

And a friend in a neighborhood up the street just posted that her power is out. shit

I know! Isn't that a great story? Plus he made a ton of great defensive plays in the post-season.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We started out the day with classes going on as usual, but at about 12:30, they sent out a campus-wide message that all classes after 1:10 were canceled, and everyone except essential personnel were supposed to go home. My last class was 12:20-1:10, so I finished up that one, then came home, stopping at the grocery store on the way. It's raining pretty hard, and they're predicting a lot of flooding. I saw a few roads with an inch or two of water, but nothing major yet. But, we're supposed to have several more hours of steady rain. They're also saying that we'll probably lose power.
