I see by the news that Atlantic City is already flooded. This does not bode well for my relative's house down near Point Pleasant.
(OTOH, they were in the first stages of getting it completely rebuilt, so most of the furniture, all of the irreplaceable possessions are already out, et cetera. Since they haven't broken ground on the reno because of permitting snafus, a fair amount of storm damage would actually benefit them.)

Swam. Saw a bunch of my evening regulars. We all agreed swimming first thing is a weird experience.

I'm home, since the government is closed. I've been to the supermarket, though I don't have a lot of non-perishable food.
The con was great(and I danced with a snake-no, not like that:) ). My flight out of Columbus was supposed to leave at 7:25 pm last night, and finally left at 10 pm. Oddly enough, it was weather delays. A VIP flew in around the time my plane was reaching the airport, and it took long enough that the plane had to divert to Detroit to refuel.
Still, I did better than my friends who were supposed to fly out today. (Not to mention the friend who was supposed to fly back to NY yesterday)
OK- I am about to start walking and get some peanut butter and a flashlight!
I guess I should get my burrito for lunch and not plan for dinner, since it's supposed to get worse here in the afternoon.

True! But if the power does go out and is out for a few days it can be used after the storm when the sun comes out again.
Provided, of course, this isn't an End Times storm and the sun does actually come out again!
