I love unpacking! Hate packing, but unpacking is like organizing from scratch, it's awesome!
I don't want to go to the UK (well, in theory if I had unlimited time and money), but if anyone wants to hit up Mexico with me this Feb/Mar, I've had a great time the past couple years and would love to go again. I think last year I spent ~$500 for a week renting a house that slept 4 and had its own pool (so imagine that split between four people...)
...anyone else suddenly not able to get to Facebook?
I'd be up for Alaska. I've also been noodling about South America, like Chile or Argentina.
meara, that sounds good too. I haven't done a real trip in a while.
This discussion is making me realize how completely unprepared I am for an emergency, and that earthquakes are famous for not giving you advance warning.
Sue, I counter your offer of the UK with the temptation of msbelle family vacation to Disney World. 3 generations of various types of crazy and giant society accepted CosPlay.
msbelle and family time is totally tempting, but I am so not a Disney or amusement park kind of person. I get motion sickness on the bus! Maybe I just have to make a plan to come to Texas...
if anyone wants to hit up Mexico with me this Feb/Mar,
hmmm...
Can I counter counter with Alaska?
Are you thinking cruise?
meara,
the Internet is out here and there. there are a lot of outages.
I'm surprised we can communicate here actually. I think the zombie apocalypse is coming for us prior to the frankenstorm.
Aand they're testing the backup generators here....
You and me both, Burrell. I keep thinking I should get water and non-perishable food together, and I just don't.
Are you thinking cruise?
I was, because I hear that's the best way to see some of the landscape. I need to research more though.
