That's...I don't know what that is.

They are saying that the found mastiff was not spayed, and Olivia's records show that she was. So despite the matching markings and scars, this cannot be Olivia.

I can't imagine what this is doing to L.

Sometimes the spay scar heals up really well, and they can't tell until they start the surgery...

They had to do surgery on the found mastiff, so the found mastiff was definitely not spayed. But I do think that the first rescue could have gotten things wrong . . . and that now L. will just never get any kind of closure.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Argh. I caught a whole bunch of my students plagiarizing from Yahoo Answers. I'm pissed off. They didn't even plagiarize well -- this was a homework question similar to an example we'd done in class, and they submitted an answer that made no reference to any class material.

Oh, that sucks, Hil. Cheat smarter, kids!

Man, today is an unproductive day. Well, it's productive, just not in the things I intended to be working on. Which would be fine if I weren't helping out with this retreat this weekend. I don't know why I agreed to do it. I still haven't gotten the schedule or contact information for any of the artists. Gonna be hard for me to do my assigned task of "make sure people are where they're supposed to be when they're supposed to be there" when I don't know who's coming or what's going on when. I haven't even heard what time I'm supposed to show up.

But anyway, today's tasks apparently seem to be "translate between graphic designer and printer" about a billion times. I know everyone is trying to do their best to get my non-profit cost effective options, but damn, people, I have budget for this. Let's just get it done!

Why would the rescue do this? It makes no sense at all.

I have no idea, flea. I just talked to L., and she is going along with it. She doesn't have access to the dog right now, so there isn't much she can do except try and get in touch with someone at the rescue that will actually have a conversation with her. The people who devote themselves to helping the dogs are not always good with people. I always warn people I referred to the tracker that she wasn't warm and fuzzy, but she was very helpful.
