Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This one is new. They are not giving me pain medication at all.

I have asked them to call my neurologist, because I can't go into work tomorrow. I mean, I can't go in until they break the headache, and nothing has ever broken it other than IV pain meds.

I'm terrified.

Librarian Warlord

They are not giving me pain medication at all.

They just decided to take the medicine themselves? What else can explain their inability to act? Oi, ita_!, I'm sorry that you have to deal with this.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Things were looking so promising last week! That is some kind of fuckery.

I overslept.

I can't just not do stuff. And, as I suspected, she's looking at me funny for not having leapt all over the neurostimulator. I don't even know if it's covered yet. Slow down, people.

Still waiting. I will ask her what she expects me to do with the rest of my...my ever.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yikes! I am hoping for some kind of acceptable resolution for you, ita

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Grr, ita. That's not right.

They don't feel I need IV pain medication, and talking to my neurologist didn't change that. I asked her what was a better idea, and she suggested oral dilaudid. I asked her why she thought my doctor requested I get given 6 mg of IV dilaudid if there was any amount of oral dilaudid that worked. Why she thought we hadn't actually tried every prescription and this was a last resort....

And then she told me I was welcome to come back at any time.

I was raised well enough to not spit in her face, but it was close.

I will wait for them to take the portacath IV access out, I will go home and send off that status report I've been working on, and then I'll send my manager a note that I won't be back in the office until further notice, because I am far enough gone to not be able to drive. Or think.

FUCKED UP--I had a neuro appointment Monday morning that I cancelled because I thought I had a deployment Sunday. So now I needn't have cancelled it, but they haven't rescheduled it, and I really need to talk to him (I sent an email, but he rarely replies to those). I may just cab it to the doctor's office first thing Monday morning and hang out until someone takes pity on the woman jabbing a penknife into her thigh.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm so sorry, ita. That's so maddening and fucked up.

Can you go to another ER?
