Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I kinda have nothing to do. I mean--I don't know if we're doing the cutover this weekend, because there's a system outage, so all the people that would be deciding on my project are fighting fires, and I can't have the convo with the security guy all on my lonesome, since fixing the tasks isn't within my power.

Coding and Sleeping

onwards and upwards. Now the AIM.

Wouldn't you want to take care of the AIM before sending the bullets?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I still have to get on my work computer and get some Work From Home done. Especially because my job is ending in two weeks, so it's make money now or be sorry in November.

Am feeling very grasshopperish at the moment. Anybody want to be an ant and support me through the winter?

I slept for 12 hours last night and only got up this morning because I had a teleconference I have to be on (am on it right now). I do not want to do any work today. But I didn't get hardly anything done YESTERDAY. Argh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That all sounds super-promising, Suela!

Also, go go msbelle!

I have actually gotten some shit done today myself.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, good job, Suela. Keep at it.

And rock on with your bad self, msbelle. Knock out those annoying tasks!

I am getting some stuff done as well. I have set up my new network (mirkwood! I hope it's the last one, because I think I've run out of elven towns.) which will allow me to cut back to one mobile modem and save me something like 80 bucks a month.

I then reset the printer and NAS static ip addresses. But I screwed up when I did the Vonage one and hit go before I entered the default gateway. So it's stuck out there in the aether somewhere and I don't know how to get it back. I tried the factory reset, but so far no joy. Technically I don't care because I don't actually use the Vonage phone; it's basically just a forwarding line for my company phone number at this point, so there's no real reason for me to keep the unit live. I just would rather have it working.

So, moving on, I have to address a few issues the printer found with my newsletter so they can do the merge. And then I've got lots on the correspondence plate to do.

Then back to Quickbooks for catchup finances.

But I pulled off four concerts in seven days, and I slept in this morning and have final teardown tonight, so I am giving myself credit for any fall-behind work. I do still need to get it in gear, because next weekend I'm stage managing for one of the local school's big retreat events. Still not entirely sure why I said yes to that. And I have people coming in after that, and then it'll be time for our big fundraising convention back east.
