I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, go go msbelle!

I have actually gotten some shit done today myself.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, good job, Suela. Keep at it.

And rock on with your bad self, msbelle. Knock out those annoying tasks!

I am getting some stuff done as well. I have set up my new network (mirkwood! I hope it's the last one, because I think I've run out of elven towns.) which will allow me to cut back to one mobile modem and save me something like 80 bucks a month.

I then reset the printer and NAS static ip addresses. But I screwed up when I did the Vonage one and hit go before I entered the default gateway. So it's stuck out there in the aether somewhere and I don't know how to get it back. I tried the factory reset, but so far no joy. Technically I don't care because I don't actually use the Vonage phone; it's basically just a forwarding line for my company phone number at this point, so there's no real reason for me to keep the unit live. I just would rather have it working.

So, moving on, I have to address a few issues the printer found with my newsletter so they can do the merge. And then I've got lots on the correspondence plate to do.

Then back to Quickbooks for catchup finances.

But I pulled off four concerts in seven days, and I slept in this morning and have final teardown tonight, so I am giving myself credit for any fall-behind work. I do still need to get it in gear, because next weekend I'm stage managing for one of the local school's big retreat events. Still not entirely sure why I said yes to that. And I have people coming in after that, and then it'll be time for our big fundraising convention back east.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I have walked the dog, groomed the dog, and trimmed the dog's nails. Now I need to hit the store for baking supplies; I forgot it was my sister's birthday next week and I need to make a cake for Sunday.

Okay, off we go.

My weekend dilemma: Theoretically, I want to see Argo, but realistically, I want to sit on my sofa and watch TV all weekend! Around the other commitments I already have. HMMMMM.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Man, I can't get motivated to clean the bathroom (my most hated of all chores). I did 2 loads of laundry (both of which are even folded and put away), washed the dishes, and made pumpkin bread, but the bathroom is taunting me.

I should do it first, before I do anything else, to get it out of the way. But then I think about how much I hate it, and I ignore it.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but just clean the sink the next time you pee. Then either you'll really get started, or at least the sink will be clean. Just do it when you're in there anyway. It (sort of) works for me!

Work saved me money this week. Leftovers from business meetings have covered 2 breakfast, 2 dinners and 3 lunches. Plus 2 snacks for mac and 1 of his breakfasts. That is serious.

I can clean the sink. Hmmm. I'll do it right now!

Accountability to follow.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Thanks again for the birthday wishes, y'all!

My sister and I exchange bookstore gift certificates every year. I spent mine in about 5 minutes this morning. Tomorrow I have a ton of social things, but Sunday will be all about sticking my nose in a book.
