I am not sure if hte wrong-headed wrong thing I was engaging last night ever really went away. I don't have FB access at work, so I am done with the convo. She had said goodbye at least twice though and continued to reply, so an inept flouncer as well as wrong-be-er.

I can't believe you have ice trays at work. Company needs to pony up for an ice machine.

The fridge will never die. If it dies, they'll replace it with a shiny new fridge that has an ice-making freezer, but for the time being, we make our own ice. Or, at least SOME of us do.
Yeah, that's a tricky point, am I bitchy because I hurt or am I bitchy because of my period? Though for a while I could track the debilitating despair that would have me sobbing in the bathroom to a timeframe a few days before my period. Though, again, once I pinned it to hormonal fluctuation, a lot of the despair faded to general crankiness. Once I knew I wasn't insane and doomed to a life of woe, most of the insanity and woe went away. Like my psychoses said, "Fuck, she's on to us, let's find another victim."
Huh, just reading up on the Tuberculosis vaccine -- not only is it effective partly based on geography (it seems the closer you get to the equator, the less protection it offers) but it has been found to help with such diverse diseases as diabetes and MS.
Also -- what I find kind of charming -- is that it's based on Cow Tuberculosis, much like the smallpox vaccine was based on cowpox.
US is one of the few countries that don't vaccinate for it. With the rise of antibiotic-resistant tuberculosis, I'm beginning to think we should reconsider that.
Quote from the NPR website:
The Tea Party may have took the 2010 midterm elections by storm, but many analysts are now asking if the party's influence has cooled off.
Shouldn't that be "may have taken"?

HELL YES. Damn, NPR. Just...damn.
Oh, hey--does anyone "get" this piece of art: [link] ? Their schtick seems to be "1 gruesome degree off normal", but I can't see what that degree is from those pictures. I could imagine, given the title, that the trophies are filled with said....contents, but I don't know for sure.
I can't tell from the contents either.
Is it a comment on what the trophies are celebrating?
