We live in THE swing state, but we don't have a land line, and my cell phone has a 706 (northeast GA) area code still. We mystify robocallers and pollsters alike.
(Turning on the TV, however, is hell.)

Arlen Specter is dead.
Former U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter -- the embodiment of the now-dying breed of liberal Republicans before he switched to the Democratic Party at the twilight of his political career -- has died, his family said Sunday. He was 82.
Really, CNN? Dying breed was the cliche you decided to go with?
Fun, Laura.
We had girl from the Obama campaign stop by yesterday that had to be in her mid teens (likely helping a sibling or parent) I felt bad for her because not only was it pouring rain, but she was so nervous she kept tripping over her words. (It probably doesn't help that our dog behaves super-aggressive whenever someone is at the door, though the only danger is being jumped on and licked to death) I tried to be reassuring with my "Yes, we'll be voting for Obama on Nov 6th." but I have no idea how she would have dealt with an aggressive Romney supporter. Heck, I don't know how I would deal with one if I was going door to door.

Literally dying!
Good old Arlen. RIP.
I don't get a lot of national ads, but have been appreciating that there's a guy running for governor of New Hampshire named Ovide Lamontagne.
We've been getting a lot of ads for the senate race. I don't particularly like the Democratic candidate, but he's worlds better than the Republican. The Republican guy is the one who said a few months ago that, from a father's perspective, his daughter being raped and his daughter having a child out of wedlock is pretty much the same thing.

No kidding. We don't have a DVR, but right now is the one time I would kill for one. (We don't watch that much TV, but the other night, I think during Big Bang Theory, there were back-to-back Romney ads at one point, and I just wanted to shoot the TV. Because I am Elvis like that.)

It was weird being in Denver and seeing the Romney ads; we don't get them here at all. However, we do have Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown ads at practically every commercial break. And even the houses that have Scott Brown signs up do not have Romney signs up. I find it very funny considering Romney was governor here.
In Utah, a vote for Obama is a protest vote. I'll be proudly protesting. I'd get an Obama bumper sticker, but I wouldn't put it past some of my neighbors to do something to my car.
I don't have TV at home, but it's always on at work (and stuff has started showing up on Hulu). Teppy is me, plus a side of "Shut up, Josh Mandel."
