Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In re the creationists: was it here I first heard dinosaurs referred to as "Jesus ponies"?

And welcome to the first Rose of summer!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Because the first sounds less fun and the second sounds less free.

Therein lies the rub.

As usual, b.org determines my menu

You're welcome. [link]

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

You can't plug a micro USB into a cereal port.

How do you stop a buffalo from charging your car?

Take away his car charger!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Jilli,

Fuck yeah, GCS!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh, that's so cool, Jilli!

I have another friend who got turned into a meme recently, she's the Cool Mom meme. Her reaction is to laugh and laugh, which I guess is the right reaction when you're a comedian.

It's the "Goodness, Yes!" part--shows they get it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You're welcome. [link]

I used the CI Perfect Cheese Omelet recipe, which is similar. My inferior electric burners do not give me a good high heat, I think, but it's still fresh eggs and good cheese.

I had some tortilla with potatoes. Does that count? If it was free with the wine?

Wow, I am still so zonked. Ate something, will sleep. Hope to hop an early bus to Avila in the morning, come back here early afternoon and do a proper pig-out. Intended that tonight, but clearly...

Segovia is pretty. The weather (and likely sleep dep) took a toll on my mood, but hopefully the nap helped.

My hotel is literally part of the city walls. High ceilings, old school, lots of marble. Modern bathrooms, thank goodness.

OK, think I'm going to crash again.

Coding and Sleeping

Really, very large company I work for, there are no more floating licenses for the bug tracking software so I'm locked out of being able to see the bugs I'm supposed to be fixing. Really?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Happy Birthday, Isaac!

Welcome to the world, Baby Rose, and congratulations, KateP and M!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had some tortilla with potatoes

Nom, tortilla Espanola. We informed my niece that she was required to learn how to make a good one before she comes home from Spain...

My hotel is literally part of the city walls.

So cool!

Wow, Gud, that's kind of ridiculous.

Me, I was on the phone when the fire alarm went off, so I trudged down 7 flights of stairs with a couple of hundred bureaucrats and stood in a park for half an hour. Then I went for coffee and learned that I don't like Specialties' coffee very much: it tastes burned.
