Wow, that chick has some balls on her!
Okay, 90210: How can it be even vaguely reasonable to even imply to someone that her brother is dead and not tell her until a friend (amid expected weeping) checks all the body that "Oh, actually, someone didn't die--he's at the hospital..." HOW IS THAT POSSIBLY ACCORDING TO PROTOCOL? You just now remembered that?
I think I must be really bad at explaining some things. I'm trying to ask someone "When you say "change" the server, do you count installing another domain on the webserver as enough of a change to trigger a re-scan? He kept rephrasing me in inaccurate ways. Either adding a new website (with or without adding new IPs) means you go again, or it doesn't. We're not installing new software, we're not opening new ports, we're not changing the OS in any way.
I finally found some words he agreed with, with no conviction that he understands one pair of load balanced servers are hosting 15 domains and we're not creating a new virtual machine per domain, but if he will possibly just agree to my words, we're good. At least me and my boss understand, so we should be good...
My boss was fairly low key about my bad call on Sunday (he accepts that my decision had no material difference from his, but due diligence and all that. Fine, cool), but as I kinda expected, no progress was made yesterday, other than getting closer to the deadline. I don't understand people. I worked for two hours on Sunday, while still feeling like crap, trying to set up at least a couple things so they could get done if I didn't make it to the office Monday.
Oh, 90210--you so silly.
And I got no one to blame but myself.
