She is SO CUTE when laughing, OMG!
Jesse, I had no idea the pumpkin ice cream wasn't all that! I bought the pumpkin cream cheese this morning (along with some english muffins), I had completely forgotten about it because they just moved around the cheese and everything. But it is so yum!
Did I not say that right? Pumpkin ice cream last year = disappointing. Pumpkin ice cream this year = delicious.

For the record, the secret to the "holding breath until the face turns blue" phenomenon is to forcefully blow a puff of air in the baby's face. That generally startles 'em out of it. (Signed, it's still really scary, even if you know logically that once they pass out they'll start breating automatically.)
I think it was Plei who correctly identified that feeling of wanting another baby around 10 months as actually wanting this baby for just a little longer. (Of course there are people who have babies that close together, on purpose, but I think for the vast majority of us, it's that we miss our current baby's infant phase, not that we actually want to be pregnant while also chasing a 1 year-old. )

TJs pumpkin cream cheese is amazing. As is their pumpkin Greek yogurt.
I know someone who deliberately spaced her two children 17 months apart. Her first child was one of those incredible babies who sleep through the whoooole night (not just the doctor's definition of "sleeping though the night," which I was very sad to learn was only 5 hours in a row, not that either of my children ever did such a thing anyway) at 6 weeks and she also had a remarkably placid temperament. Second child, yeah, no.
OK, after all the talk of monthly cooking, I'm sort of doing it! Or a lazy single person's version of it, anyway. Currently cooking a potato-kale gratin, roasting leftover butternut squash I'm going to make into soup, and defrosting tomato sauce to put in some strombolis I'm going to make with dough I also bought at TJ's. Oh, and I'm going to make an apple crisp next. Seasonal!
Jesse, that sounds delicious! I'm so happy it's finally soup season.
