This isn't a come-on. I'm in a very serious relationship with a landscape architect.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, the inspection happened on Friday and apparently the inspector said:

1) the furnace did not turn on

2) my washing machine does not work.

Hmm.

All appliances were operational in the house when I left it. And I know the furnace has been working because I've been paying utility bills. I don't know what would explain the washing machine not working. We may have turned the water off to the machine when we left, but an inspector should probably know to turn that on, right?

information libertarian

I would not assume an inspector is that smart. I have not been impressed with inspectors.

This seems like something your agent would be able to follow up on for you. This is what you pay him for.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Well, my email to him started with "what is going on?" and detailed how I left everything operational, etc.

He said he was going to go over the house and check things out before calling the repair company.

agree with flea on inspectors. The inspector for my house missed the previous drill holes for termite treatments, identified a knot in a piece of wood as potential bug damage, and missed both leaky sinks and electrical shenanigans.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

You both are totally right and I should know this. The inspector I had for the house missed the condition of the roof which set me back thousands of dollars.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

We need inspector inspectors.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Puppy!

Man, so today I discovered that my local hiking org, which maintains the extensive trail system out here, not only has downloadable maps, but has put them all in gpx format so I could load them into my GPS. If I had a GPS. Which I don't. But how cool is that? And hey, wonder if there's an app for my phone?
