Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I tend to cook dinner for three days at a time. I have thought about doing a week or two at a time sometime.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So tonight's attending was apparently on duty on the mystery night where no one can find the records of me having trouble breathing. So, suddenly, he won't give me full meds (he has overridden doctors and made them give me full meds in the past few months). I've asked them to skip treating me in the ER and send me straight ever to where I end up getting admitted when the ER doesn't work, so we can skip the rigmarole.

Fucking ridic.

Someone asked me if this was a sickle cell flareup. If I'm being anecdotally mistaken for Tiffany, someone is going to get cut.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh jeez.

I has a Nora! We had beer and cocktails and sushi and snacks and I totally win!

I think you do!

So I skipped ahead in line and got admitted. But normally they escalate, I guess, because they tried to start me with pills. I told them, with no small irritation, that I did not get admitted for meds I can pick up at the pharmacy. Then they tried to give me some of the meds (I'm supposed to get 4, they started with 1, which is new. Got them up to 3, and that is all the fight I have.) We'll see about the second dose.

Unrelatedly, I wonder how much money the person who wrote the app, etc, that lets you use your iOS or Android phone as a restaurant's table's ready buzzer at the restaurant (when's the last time you used one of those as a coaster?). You could do some other cool stuff too, once you've registered for a restaurant--accumulate frequent flier points, free desserts on your birthday, etc.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Seriously! I don't know how you put up with it.

I hope they are done with the aggressive red tape and are treating you.

They can't even be consistent in their inconsistency!

Errands run. By 10. On a sunday. That's unheard of. Eating something and then...I'll gird my loins to call for a tow and drop the car off.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry that you're dealing with the ridic red tape, ita.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

DH has an in-person interview in Cincinnati on the 16th.

Cincinnati! Ping me if there's anything we can do for him.

I was gone all evening and late into last night, but -- yes, me too! Let me know if we can roll out some hospitality or Graeter's.
