I'm not done yet, but I don't think the cooking-for- two will fill my small apartment freezer all the way. It might if I used Tupperware instead of freezer bags. They even provide preprinted labels for the bags! (With the $8 fee).

So coming back from the memorial service in Parkton, my car starts losing power while I'm in fairly heavy traffic on 83. While on the phone yelling at the AAA guy who kept insisting I was on I-73 or exit 83, I managed to get it restarted with a rolling start. I think that part is incidental, it was just a fluke. Almost home, it does it again and I manage to get just to the corner of Ellerslie and 36th. And it ain't restarting this time.
The infuriating thing is that this happened last (2011) August. Exact same symptoms. I needed new spark plugs, fuel filter, rotor and distributor cap. It cranks, it just won't catch.
Good news is that a neighbor is lending me their spare car in the morning, so I can get the errands I didn't do (in order to go to the memorial) done, get a tow, etcetera, with much less sturm & drang.
Yikes, that sounds both scary and like a PITA.
Cincinnati! Ping me if there's anything we can do for him.
Today has turned out to be a not leave the house day for me, too, which is kind of too bad because there is a wine and chocolate thing going on a few blocks away but the body wants what it wants.
It's great to hear he's got so many interviews, Cash!
sarameg, that isn't cool.
Yikes, sarameg--scary!
DH has an in-person interview in Cincinnati on the 16th. They're also working on an in-person interview in Worcester, MA soon as well.
But not in Seattle?!?
I wanted to not leave the house, after I woke up with a headache, but just took stuff and went back to bed until my trainer appointment at noon. By the time I was done the stuff and the workout had kicked the headache. Yay. Then headed to help a friend move-- luckily she hired some guys, so I just unpacked stuff (which is my favorite anyway!)
Only problem is I'm not getting any of the errands done that i had hoped to. Hmm.
Networking is awesome. Especially when it leads to good works.
It's funny because I used to look sideways at networking, like it was some sort of weird conspiracy (what me, paranoid?) but now I think I'm kinda good at it. Not for myself, necessarily, but at seeing two people in the world and going, oh, they ought to know each other.
Butternut-farro risotto sounds awesome, whatever you call it.
Oww, Anne! Def. take it easy.
You guys, it's fucking delicious. And was pretty easy! Recipe: [link]
