so he'll have clean sheets to slip into
but they won't be on the bed?
::sigh:: The pharmacy I was going to go to closed at 2. So...not leaving house. Thankfully that was a refill way ahead of time. Irritatinglingly, they wrote both prescriptions on the same slip, so filling one means I have to go back there for the second, which came up due a little later.
I am unsurprisingly okay with not going out.
Okay, this might be about to come off self-aggrandizing, but I'm really chuffed right now because an introduction I made last summer just resulted in a work team from one of our supporting churches going out to work on tornado relief projects led by another acquaintance of ours. I don't mean to make it about me, because I'm not the one who just spent a holiday weekend Saturday out sweating, but I'm pleased that the connection took, and I'm glad to see the church out there doing, you know, work.
eta: yeah, ita !, I hit a point around 3:00 today where it was clear I wasn't leaving the house, and I am totally good with that.
I had/have to leave the house
twice
today, first because I ran out of catfood and I don't want bubba to eat me, and next because I have to go pick Nora up at the airport.
Wheeeeee
I had planned on not leaving the house at all today and yet I've made three trips out in the cold. At 5:30 am I took CJ to hq for his search. Then Kelly was sick at work, so I got a ride there and brought her home. Then she wanted food that wasn't in the house, so out to the store I went. Now I'm watching post season ball.
DH has an in-person interview in Cincinnati on the 16th. They're also working on an in-person interview in Worcester, MA soon as well.
It's progress, I think.
I ran errands most of the day, then came home only to trip over my own feet and take a tumble in my own hallway. Ow. Also, no ibuprofen left. But I am NOT going back out today. Fortunately, I'm only a bit rattled, and a hot bath and a stiff drink should help.
Tomorrow, I will not be leaving the house unless I can help it.
That doesn't sound self-aggrandizing, Liese! Networking is awesome. Especially when it leads to good works.
Butternut-farro thing is GO. (The recipe says "risotto," but I refuse to call it that. So "thing" it is.)
That's exciting news, Cashmere!
Cashmere, that's awesome!
Ow, Anne.
I was kind of wishing I had made plans to go out of town or something this weekend, but am now SO GLAD I didn't. I love a long weekend at home.
How much storage space does that once a month cooking thing take? This isn't full, right?
