Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's a good week to be born, as JZ's mom celebrated her 70th birthday yesterday and her daughter-in-law (Matilda's Aunt Angela) just went into labor. Wheeee! April babies. Giddyup a Whoop Whoop!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Welcome, Rose!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Rick,

I work at a research university too, but clearly you are more accomplished than I am!

I say this without ego.

Congratulations, Kate!

I don't think we can judge accomplishment by length of Vita.

I've seen some very long ones with nothing in them. And some very short ones full of remarkable contributions. I remember a guy who said "I only list my publications in Nature and Science. The papers in other journals are more like preliminary drafts>" He had one page of publications but it was a very, very impressive page.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Rick,

you say that, but a 40 page CV involves a whole lot of stuff! Truly.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Welcome to the world, Rose! Congrats Kate fam!

What good news to wake up to! (And Kat, I was awake for kid drama, but I just now woke up from falling asleep around four, so I got almost six hours. No enchiladas today, though, and I have to kick into high gear now, as soon as it seems plasuble I could leave the bed.)

Because books.

4br 2 bath for $1200 plus ME as a neighbor, omg I want a friend as neighbor.

If it came with a job for S., I'd honestly consider it.
