But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

Coding and Sleeping

Go home and get some rest, shift. Don't you work for the big G? Is so, then we are pseudo coworkers.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Romney probably cheated at the debate. From Wonkette:

Oh Look Here Is Cheating Cheater Mitt Romney Pulling Illegal Notes Out At The Debate (Updated)

My, that takes some brass. We checked. No pre-written notes were allowed.

Anyone miss the good old days of George W. Bush’s “bullet proof vest”?

Update! The Romney campaign claims the object in question is an incredibly starched handkerchief, which Romney unaccountably used to cover the paper at his podium. If anything it just makes too much sense!

Update Again! Here, via a Sam Stein tweet, is Mitt Romney wiping his nose with what looks like a paper napkin, which would be stiffer than a handkerchief, it is true! So we are now willing to stipulate that it is possible Mitt Romney is not a cheating cheater, in this one instance.

But he totally still could be.

Edit to add "probably"

Ok, but was having notes actually against the rules? And really, what is one page of notes going to do for you? Not much. I really think its a non-issue.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

it is against the rules, meara.

I can believe it is a handkerchief, but would I be totally surprised that he brought in notes? NO. I don't think he really has a high regard for rules in general and specifically not when it applies to him.

See, I was reading the following post, where they said "probably, but who cares", essentially...I figure it's not something to be up in arms about, just makes me feel like a paranoid birther conspiracy theorist!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My electric blanket is not working. What fresh hell is this?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Shrift, get better soon.

I took the dog for a run and now I am going to get a haircut, and then hit TJ's, and the dry cleaner and the jeweler, and then go climbing and then go to a reception on a battleship for Fleet Week. (Pays to have a low-level VIP for a sister.)

I really need to be doing paperwork for my folks, but I don't have time! Argh.

Maybe your electrons need cleaning.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We hang-dry a lot of stuff and fold all the rest that day. Leaving laundry out just means it gets covered in cat and dog hair (and possible bonus cat vomit) before we get to wear it.

I would say we live in the same house, but I think I would have noticed if the awesome level jumped up dramatically, and it has not. So clearly we just live in doppelhouses.
