I would love to find someone who shares my love of baseball. though that would hopefully just be one piece of the bigger picture. But if they didn't, it wouldn't be a dealbreaker (as long as they could handle my sometimes manic fannishness).

I find the same thing to be true WRT the Saints down here. But it's easier to avoid specific, just say who dat and Drew Brees and you're good.
I find that asking "...what sport is that?" whenever a team name is mentioned gets me out of most sports-related conversations.
When people ask me what football team I like, I say I'm a fair-weather fan and root for either the Bears or Packers, depending on how they're doing.
