"Trickle-down government" is a pretty good line.
Really? I thought it's the kind of line that sounds good to the RW echo chamber but won't actually play well. But we'll see. It definitely sounds like one of those "zingers" we've been reading about. I think the "economy tax" is another one of those zingers.
Is it just me or is almost everything Romney saying a lie? Sigh. But good ol' Leher, letting Obama call him on it.
all of it is a lie.
ALL.
I am not sure I recall much this blatant in a debate.
I'm sure tomorrow his campaign will quietly release a statement that none of it is true.
Is it just me or is almost everything Romney saying a lie?
Right? Like blatant and a three-year-old with frosting on his face saying he didn't take a cupcake. Just HUH????
Really? I thought it's the kind of line that sounds good to the RW echo chamber but won't actually play well.
I think so. It's a pithy line, it sums up his line of criticism on the role of government, and it blunts accusing him of trickle-down economics.
I think he's basically wrong, but still: good line.
He was less effective on defending his tax policy, it boils down to 'if the numbers don't add up, trust me that I'll change the bit you don't like'. Obama knows it too, he's not backing down there.
'if the numbers don't add up, trust me that I'll change the bit you don't like'.
"No, they DO add up! They just do. THEY DO. Add up."
I don't think I can watch the debate. It already makes me want to punch someone, and the TV won't let me do that.
Jim Lehrer is going to throw his pen at someone's head before the night is over. My money is on Romney.
I hate even hearing Romney's voice.
No one's voice could ever, EVER nauseate me the way Dubya's voice did, so Romney has a leg up there.
He looks like an actor who plays the president, not an actual president.
I've had the debate on for maybe 5 minutes and I think that's enough. Romney's debating style is like everything I hste about talk radio.
