The work stuff I could not do this weekend becuase I coud not get a connection? The stuff I had never bee told to do or which part to potentially do? The stuff I emailed my boss about and said I could not log on, but here are all the relevent emails? The stuff he never gave me any direction on and, in fact, has done all or part of the prep in the past? that stuff?
Yeah, at 9am after I had emailed asking what he still needed me to do because I could not find any of the files. when he saw me, he said "What do you have done".
I am not sure deer in the headlights captures what my face looked like.
I finished updating one of the powerpoint presentations in 2 hours, in time for his big whig meeting. The other one I am still waiting on updated slides from people, so I had to upload a half-done one.
He wants to meet with me at 4. If the meeting is bad, I just refuse to own any part of it. And I am buting a "USE YOUR WORDS" t-shirt.
ION, I think I've sent the entire IT department into a tizzy because my new iPhone was delivered last week and I'm not planning on coming to the office to pick it up until Wednesday.
Edit: Except of course I have neither molasses nor golden syrup in the house. (and I don't actually know what golden syrup is, in American.) Hm.
There is no real flavor equivalent, but corn syrup should work.
YAY Scrappy! Yay Scrappy's mom's lungs!
Oh, bollocks: they extended the application period for my job. It's open for an extra week, until October 11. Which means I will spend the next 10 days stressing over it, worrying about who else is applying for it.
msbelle, it's totally unfair that you are being held responsible for other people's failures. OTOH, it does seem consistent with other Buffistas' work experience.

I don't have that either! I will make something else. Knowing me, probably a crumble. I want to venture out! But not enough to buy ingredients.
Yay for good news for Scrappy's mom!
I totally need cake today. Or pie. Something warm and filling and delicious. It's a rainy, chilly Monday, and although I usually enjoy rainy days, this one is less welcome because I have a cold and a bunch of errands to run.
We went out of town for a friend's wedding over the weekend, during which time my phone died, Rose started sprouting teeth (teeth!) and then was up half the night on Friday night, and our house did not manage to unpack or organize itself while we were gone. Hmph. The wedding was lovely and I'm glad we could be there, but I kind of wish we'd spent the weekend resting and getting stuff done around the house instead of spending 17 hours (total) on the road with a teething baby.
Googled some suggestions for golden syrup subs, Jesse:
Combine two parts light corn syrup plus one part molasses OR equal parts honey and corn syrup OR maple syrup (This is thinner, and not as sweet.) OR dark corn syrup (This is thnner and not as sweet as golden syrup. If you like, try reducing the corn syrup in a saucepan to thicken it.) OR light corn syrup (This is thnner and not as sweet or flavorful as golden syrup. If you like, try reducing the corn syrup in a saucepan to thicken it.)
So, maybe some honey?
Yay Scrappy and Mom of Scrappy!
Everybody treat themselves for lunch! It's the only way to survive the Mon-pocalypse!
Our in-house cafe just started having hot soup options for lunch! Mmmm, gumbo.
Good news, Scrappy!
This [link] has been the excitement in my neighborhood today. At least the helicopter is gone now.
