The status is NOT quo.

I have eaten brunch and graded one paper. Yay?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I did some errands, including getting my brows threaded, which is nice. The one bookstore I went to didn't have Amy's book, so I might head out again to another one and see if they do.

Because books.

It won't be in Barnes & Noble. They're not carrying it. Imagine my happiness. But it's online there and Amazon and Indiebound, and indie bookstores should have it, or will order it for you.

Just got news that an old friend's sister died of cancer yesterday. She was only 51. I'm really tired of cancer.

I'm surprised. Cold Kiss has been prominently displayed at my Barnes & Noble since it came out.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I cannot remote connect to my work computer. I just forwarded my boss 6 emails which have the info in them I would have worked on and I will continue to try and connect. Not hopeful. If work lost power or the cleaning crew turned off my computer I am hosed.

It didn't do well enough in hardcover. But it's nice to hear they have it out.

Yeah, that's weird -- I saw Cold Kiss at the B&N-affiliated store I just went to (the Harvard Coop -- a fake college bookstore/B&N). The other store I was at is an independent book store that doesn't have much YA in general, and I forgot the title AND the girl at the info desk didn't suggest they order it for me! I may still order it from them, because I want to support.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

GA: y'all are totally right about the hair. I wouldn't have minded this episode if it had been bringing us up to date and moving forward from there, but getting "the whole story" next week looks like a drag. And yet, I will watch, in the perhaps futile hope that it will get good again.

-t, I agree. I expected them to do flashbacks over several episodes to show us what happened after the crash, but doing it this way is just silly. Yet, I'm still watching too.

I can't decide if I'm going to stick with it or not. Who am I kidding, I probably will.

ION, I finally went into the store whose windows are full of dresses that I love, but which a coworker said was expensive. But I'm willing to spend some money on a good dress. Yeah, the ones with prices were $595. I shudder to think about the others!
