Congrats, Hil. Good luck, Consuela.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Yay, Jesse!! Hooray for your raise, Hil!

Punishingly Intricate

Finally feeling like we are back from vacation (came home Wednesday afternoon and went back to work Thursday). Went to the market, spin class, & the fancy delicious new coffee place near the gym. Now I'm starting to sort through the 400+ photos I took in London and listening to the radio. Delightfully relaxing!

Go Jesse!

I am waiting for my BFF to finish getting ready and then we are going to go have some fun in Seattle!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

How was the trip?

Now I'm having apple-pear crisp for lunch. At some point, I have to go out to mail my rent check and also try to sell some books.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Whoo, Jesse!

Whoo, Hil!

Chilling at the hotel during the first pseudo part of our vacation! The SO had a fabulous premiere of his orchestral composition last night, and we had a good time hanging out with the Doc afterwards. He got a standing ovation!

Today we'll try to spend some time with our buddies from when we lived here, and then in a few days we'll head back to the casita in Santa Fe. Our anniversary is actually over, but since Santa Fe off-season started only a few days later, we figured an extra day for the same price was a good enough reason to not celebrate on the actual day.

Trip was incredible!!! And I want to go back right away. London--it's chock full of things to do! Who knew? My parents gave us this great book of walking tours, highlighting lots of off-the-beaten-path type sights, that we used a ton.

I got really sick Sunday night (pukey sick BLECH! probably food poisoning but I can't figure out what would have caused it) and missed out on Monday altogether which sucked. But, we had generally great weather and had wonderful food & (lots of) drinks so I can't complain too much.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So what do you think these kids think they're dressed as: [link] ?

I had cheddar grits at the market. OMG, they were perfect.

Gonna laze a bit and watch the thundering herd (they're on a roll,) then swim and go get some IKEA lightbulbs and caulk.
