Mmm, grits.
But I never heard of Kraft dinner until I met Canadians. So while Kraft mac and cheese may be part of my ethnic food, "Kraft dinner" isn't.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Job: applied for.
Job~ma, Tom.
Yay, Tom!
Good luck, Tom!
make sure you're using the exact words from the listing in your resume and letter.
Our HR (It's gov't though) recommended using bullet points and the exact words to show how your experience & education match up with the qualifications. Being gov't they use a points system for each match...style counts for nothing.

Oh. Ooops.
Good luck Tom!
I have always hated Kraft Dinner.
Don't worry about it Tom, we're Canadian...we probably have some ass-backward system.
Can I just say my work just keeps getting more insane? Last week my supervisor was pulled offsite and off supervisory duties to work on a project. Yesterday, my new direct report (used to be a director, got demoted) is being kicked out of his office so it can be given to a bookkeeper who does not work full time! And today, the coworker who does not speak to anyone resigned. It's a crazy world making me crazy.
For culture, I'm thinking the commonalities--food, events, TV shows, things talked about. Texans may have eaten different things for breakfast than Pennsylvanians did, but I bet they were familiar with Walter Cronkite, Milton Berle, McDonald's, etc. Yes, it's a car existence/TV commonality, but that's been the tie-in for a long time.
I imagine every umbrella culture/ethnicity contains regional variants. The French in Lyon would have their own variants from the people in Calais.
